AAU Innovation
Purpose and tasks
AAU Innovation's mission is to establish and coordinate collaborative activities designed to enhance the visibility of the university's research and development activities with private and public companies and institutions.
AAU Innovation contributes to knowledge collaboration and the utilization of AAU’s knowledge in a highly professional manner in order to:
- operate and develop existing research and development networks, and to establish new relevant networks
- further develop and professionalize AAU Matchmaking as a core concept for collaboration with enterprises (especially SMEs)
- develop and support new knowledge-intensive entrepreneurial firms
- work in a targeted manner toward the commercialization of knowledge, and develop new effective methods and tools to support the sale of knowledge
- contribute to the innovation of products, processes and services, and ensure that this happens to the benefit of the local area and region.

AAU Innovation is comprised of three work groups:
- Knowledge Exchange Office
- SEA (Supporting Entrepreneurship at Aalborg University)
- Commercialization
Head of work groups
- Knowledge Exchange Office is headed by Per Hejgaard
- SEA is headed by Morten Dahlgaard Andersen
- Commercialisation is headed by Peter Rasmussen
